Privacy Policy
Last updated 10 October 2026
This policy explains what information Matchday (matchdaypredict.com) collects when you use the site and how it is used. Matchday is a small independent project; questions go to codequiero@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Basic server logs. Our hosting provider (Vercel) processes standard request data such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver and secure the site.
- Preferences stored in your browser. If you are not signed in, your favourite teams, your timezone (detected by your browser) and your cookie choice are kept in your browser's local storage and are not sent to us. Signed-in users' favourites are saved to their account instead.
- Account details (only if you sign in). Signing in with Google gives us your email address, your name and your profile picture. We use these to create your account, show your first name on the site, and save your favourite teams and, later, your predictions. We do not receive your Google password. Sign-in is handled by our database provider, Supabase, and Google.
- Search queries. Text typed into the site search is sent to our server to return suggestions. We do not link it to you.
- Analytics (only if you accept). If you accept cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are useful. It sets cookies and receives your IP address (truncated) and usage data. If you decline, it is not loaded.
An account is optional; the site works without one. To delete your account and the data tied to it, email us and we will remove it.
Cookies and your choices
When you first visit you can accept or decline analytics cookies. You can change your mind at any time with the “Cookie settings” link in the footer, or by clearing this site's data in your browser. Declining does not limit any part of the site.
Advertising
We may show ads served by Google AdSense and may include affiliate links (for example to Amazon). If ads are enabled, Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads, including personalised ads where permitted. You can manage ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com. Affiliate links are marked, and we may earn a commission from qualifying purchases at no extra cost to you.
Third parties
Match data comes from third-party providers and is requested by our servers, not your browser. Team crests and some images load from those providers' servers, which means they can see your IP address when your browser fetches an image. Hosting and database services are provided by Vercel and Supabase.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or India's data-protection law) you may have the right to ask what data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to withdraw consent. Because we hold little or no personal data, most requests will be quick — email us and we'll respond.
Children
Matchday is a general-audience site and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
We'll post any changes on this page and update the date above.
